We are working with partners in Illinois to launch the Sustainable Communities Framework in the state. 

Illinois’ economy is the fifth largest in the country and is well diversified with strong agriculture, manufacturing and energy sectors. With almost 13 million people, it is the most populous state in the Midwest.

Looking ahead to the resumption of economic activity, our partners in Illinois recognized that the Sustainable Communities Framework offers a way to prevent some of the predicted economic consequences of the  pandemic, and in fact, to potentially expand the state’s economy in new directions.

We are currently evaluating components of the SCF to customize a program that best fits Illinois’ unique needs.
