More wealth has now become concentrated in the hands of the elite than in the years leading up to the stock market crash of 1929.

Much has been written about this phenomenon, but solutions have been in short supply. Many feel so much power concentrated in so few hands leave the rest of us powerless. We believe otherwise! Resources reside in the “wealth of the commons,” our natural and human resources. The key is figuring out ways to redeploy those resources to directly benefit society and the planet.

The current system can survive only if we keep feeding it. By turning our energies in other directions, we can fundamentally change the world for the better.

The futurist Buckminster Fuller famously said “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a NEW model that makes the existing model obsolete.” We at National Commonwealth Group have taken his words to heart.

Today we have unprecedented tools for collective efforts that can rapidly assemble groups of likeminded people around a common goal. Starting with the premise that local small businesses and communities are the economic backbone of most countries, we have spent the past decade exploring ways to enhance the flow of capital and credit to those entities, diving deep into banking, securities and the institutions and laws that govern them. You can see the results of our research in the Research section.

Our analyses ultimately brought us to the topic of money itself and the shortcomings of the existing system. We developed a new system that breaks out of the quagmire of the old in a manner that is in our hands to control and implement. Read about our discoveries and conclusions in the Money section.

Collectively, we have the power to quickly and dramatically reshape the world in a more positive way for all of us.

Grassroots efforts are building into what we believe will be a wave of change. National Commonwealth Group provides the conceptual tools for communities to take action, on their own or in partnership with us.
